Description
Georgia Bliatsou was born in Larisa, located in central Greece. She pursued her education in painting at the Vakalo School of Art and Design, as well as at the University of Fine Arts of Athens, studying under esteemed professors such as D. Mytaras, V. Dimitriou, D. Kokkinidis, and M. Lambraki-Plaka. Additionally, Mrs. Bliatsou has enriched her artistic knowledge by attending numerous seminars in Greece, including one on the Teaching of Art at St Clare’s, Oxford.
Since 1992, Georgia Bliatsou has held 27 solo exhibitions, while from 1986 until the present day, she has actively participated in over 60 group exhibitions across Athens, various cities in Greece, as well as in Germany, Poland, the USA, Jordan, and Turkey. Her talent has been recognized with an honorary degree at the Biennale of New Artists in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Many of Bliatsou’s paintings are housed in prestigious institutions such as the Historical War Museum of Athens, Vorres Museum, Museum of Larisa City, and the Rowaq Museum in Amman, Jordan. Furthermore, her works grace numerous private art collections worldwide.
In addition to her prolific career as an artist, Georgia has dedicated 15 years to teaching painting at the high school level. Currently, she resides and works in Athens, while also spending time at Kea Island in the Cyclades.
