Description
Antonis Kastrinakis was born in Athens in 1958. He studied at Vakalos School and graduated in 1981 with professors P. Tetsis +, John Vallavanidis,+ Vangelis Dimitreas, Eleni Vakalos + and others. From 1987 until today he has held 19 individual exhibitions painting-sculpture and has participated in several group projects in Greece and abroad. In 1999 he turned more to Sculpture and the constructions and creates with the theme of the ship a special form that characterizes him to this day with exuberant vitality and enthusiasm as a genuine artist. From 2004 to present cooperates with the Benaki museum. He has designed colorful ships symbols of travel and flight, with its characteristic form of smoke chimney to transform into a flower, calling it – his ship Museum. His works are in many private collections in Greece and the outside. The sea, like the boat, contains the unpredictability and the risky and act as a challenge for a daring creator.
