Pavlos Habidis is a Greek artist born in Thessaloniki in 1957. He was reborn in Sweden in 1976, where he studied Art History and Philosophy at Lund University. Habidis has lived in Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Geneva, Brussels, and Athens. His paintings have been featured in numerous solo shows in these cities as well as in Copenhagen and Bologna along with group shows in Antwerp, Stockholm, Istanbul, and Chicago.
Habidis is renowned for his series of coveted watercolor portfolios of modern cities and their surroundings, including “Le Carnet de voyage s’ Athènes”, commissioned by Louis Vuitton in 2004, the “Spring in the Valley”, commissioned in 2015 by the archeological site Valle dei Templi, in Agrigento , Sicily, the collection on Istanbul, and the scrapbooks on Paxos published and Spetses.
