Description
Despina Kouvatsou was born in Piraeus. She studied painting independently, with Angelos as her mentor. She has attended jewelry & microsculpture classes. Since 1985 she has participated in more than 50 group exhibitions and has 18 individual exhibitions to her credit. Her works are in the Iona Vorres Museum, in the Municipal Galleries of Corfu, Lefkada, Bulgaria, in Private Collections in Greece and abroad. The project of her participation in the exhibition “Tracing Constantinople” Sismanoglio Megaro & Theological School of Chalkis, was included in the Calendar of the Postal Savings Bank. She has offered her works for auctions and greeting cards of the “Society for the Protection of Spastics” as well as her work was auctioned at the Argo Gallery for “Doctors without Borders”. He is a member of the Visual Arts Chamber of Greece (E.E.T.E.) She lives and works in Athens.
