Ploenchan “Mook” Vinyaratn graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in woven textiles from Central St. Martin’s College of Art & Design in London after having obtained a Diploma degree in Art Foundation course at Middlesex University in London. She spent the first five years of her professional life as a textile designer for Mae Fah Luang Foundation, Thailand. She became familiar with local raw materials by blending them with innovative materials and techniques. Ploenchan founded her own company, Beyond Living, that started with uniquely nature-inspired collections for the export market, then developed exclusive designs for hotels and resorts. She held her first solo art exhibition titled WOMB at Serindia Gallery, Bangkok in 2015. Since then, her work has been represented in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world and has has won several international awards. In September 2022 she was commissioned to produce two 24-metre long centerpiece textile art installations “Woven Symphony”and “Adam’s Bridge” for the Sustainability Expo 2022 which was hosted at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. A highlight for her career has been her collaborations with the renowned French luxury fashion house,Louis Vuitton to guide the art and design of 3 LV stores at ICON SIAM (2018), at Central Floresta in Phuket (opened in 2019) and their exclusive VIP Salon at ICON SIAM (opened in 2023).
