“Set in Stone… Until It’s Not” is a conceptual artwork that plays with the idea of permanence and change. Created on a jagged black marble slab, the piece features bold, red, hand-scrawled text that subverts the phrase “set in stone” by adding an asterisk and a contradiction beneath it. The contrast between the solid, timeless material and the fleeting nature of the message challenges the viewer’s perception of certainty, stability, and the inevitability of change.
