Description
Plous
So many farewells, so many wishes, so many curses.
So much anticipation, so much patience, so much persistence.
So much nostalgia.
How boundless the sea and the passion of people…
… those of the seafarers and those they leave behind.
Great joys and sorrows,
turned ships into poems, songs, vows, monuments.
People’s lives became intertwined with ships,
sometimes small, sometimes large,
but always capable of nourishing bodies and souls.
The artwork Plous is a tribute and a remembrance of all those
who wanted to see beyond the horizon,
who dared to lift their feet from the shore and step into the sea,
who were not afraid to fail more times than they would succeed,
who risked their lives for another life…
In their seamanship…
NOTE: Plous is not the journey across sea itself; it is the very act of sailing.
