Description
Christos Kalogiros was born in Ioannina, on May 28, 1987. Observing the vastly diverse landscapes of the region in which he grew up, he is fascinated by nature and how people connect, interact and transform the natural environment. His interest in science and biology leads him to choose and complete studies as Medical Laboratory Technologist at the Department of Health and Welfare of the University of Thessaly, but at the same time it inspires the artistic exploration of the relationship between the inner man and the outer environment. Following his artistic concern on this path, he decides to abandon the familiar landscapes of his provincial town with destination to the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) in which he has been accepted in the first attempt in 2014 and graduates in 2020, with teachers Xagoraris Zafos, Kontaratos Yiannis and Christopoulos Kostas at (8th painting workshop) In the same year he was admitted to the Royal College of Art, London (MA Painting).
Today, he lives and works in Athens.
