Description
Marina Vernicos was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She studied Communications and Photography at Emerson College of Boston and Business Administration at Harvard Extension School. Since 2001, she has collaborated on numerous photo projects and showcased her work in a number of solo and group exhibitions in distinguished galleries and museums around the world, such as the museum of Cycladic Art in Greece, Museum of Louvre and Eiffel Tower in Paris, Hangaram Art Museum in Korea, London, Monaco and NY. She has been nominated Photographer of the Year 2018 for National Geographic and has received several international awards. Her work can also be found in many private collections and hotels in Greece and all around the world. She has published seven books. Having selected some of her most characteristic imagery she created her own fashion brand “Marina Vernicos Collection”which consists of accessories, jewelry and clothing.
In addition to her career she has founded Creaid, a Non Profit Organization which combines creativity through works of art and organizes annual exhibitions and auctions to assist the local community and help children in need.
