Description
Aris Petridis, was born in 1979 in Athens. He was involved in sports from a young age and later as a professional for the rest of his career. Active member of the national 100m track and field team for over 15 years he took part in many events with several distinctions, with highlights: 5 gold Panhellenic medals, 5 golden Balkans, 4th place in the Mediterranean championship, 7th place in the world championship etc. As soon as he got his degree from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the Department of Physical Education and Sports and after the retirement of his sports career he started sculpting. An art-form that he visited from time to time from a young age but never had the time to really devote himself. In the few years that has been actively involved in sculpture, he has taken part in group exhibitions inside and outside of Greece
