Tubie pendant light captures marble’s inherent contradiction of being rigid & compact and at the same time vulnerable & translucent. While the linearity of the bronze leg prompts an austere form, the roundness of marble soothes the lighting experience and invites the senses of the user. Tubie is expertly cut from a single piece of solid marble without joins or seams. Light is used to give prominence to the texture of the marble and the minerals within the material. This way the elements become lightweight, reflecting the spiritual and sentimental aspect of marble.
The finished texture of the marble is soft and smooth, with a satin matt effect, which exposes the natural formation of the rock. All bronze fittings are handcrafted with care.
