Description
George Vorres-Fildissis, Honorary President of the Vorres Museum, was born in Vanada, Peloponnese, Greece in 1950. He attended the University of Piraeus, while at the same time serving at the Athens Police.
Since 1984 he has been working at the Vorres Museum in Paiania as executive assistant to the President, the late Ian Vorres. The last 35 years he has been working exclusively with recycling material creating works of art.
He is a founding Member of the Mesogaia Visual Artists Association in Attica.
His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions around Greece.
Apart from the Vorres Museum, his works can be found in many art collections, such as:The National Bank of Greece, Demetrios Daskalopoulos collection, European Union building in Brussels, Hellenic Bottling Company, Athenian Brewery and many others.
