KONSTANTINA KALYVA

Konstantina Kalyva was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She graduated from Athens College with distinction. Konstantina is a qualified Greek lawyer with the Athens Bar Association.
She studied Law (First Class Honors) at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also holds a Master of Laws, LLM in Public International Law (with highest honors) from the University of Athens and a Minor degree in Communication (Distinction) from the American College of Greece where she studied as a Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholar. She has also studied International Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her thrill for new things led her also to the University of Cambridge where she further studied Strategy management and business.

She has received several prizes and awards for academic excellence, including a Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholarship and a full merit scholarship from the European Centre for Space Law .

Before commencing her graduate studies, she interned at a Greek law firm specializing in corporate law. She has also worked at a top-tier Greek corporation, Public Power Corporation, practicing corporate law.

Her research and areas of interest include Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Sustainability and Responsibility, ESG practices ,CSR and ESG Reporting, Corporate Governance, UN SDGs, EU Taxonomy, Strategy management and also building Communication strategies.

In addition to her academic experience and professional career Konstantina has always been finding ways to contribute positively to the society and was actively involved in volunteer organisations having realised the importance of helping those in need and leaving this world in a better shape.
Driven by her personal struggles and challenges in life,her uncontested social awareness and her great passion for art she dedicated herself to supporting and furthering the cause of CREAID, an NGO founded by her closest friend Marina Vernicos. CREAID aims to combine creativity through works of art to assist the local community and help children in need. Under this framework she coordinated CREAID’s projects and became an essential part of the whole initiative.

She is fluent in Greek (native) and English and has an intermediate knowledge of French and German.

Konstantina’s life mottos are: “Art exists because life is not enough” and “Culture is what remains when all else is forgotten”.
